Dr. Klang was the first in Fayetteville to perform a coronary stenting procedure. He served as Medical Director of Cardiac Services, Vice Chief of Staff, and currently serves as Director of Invasive Cardiology and Co-Medical Director of the TAVR department at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Dr. Klang specializes in interventional cardiology, including balloon angioplasty, intracoronary stenting, directional and rotational atherectomy, and laser angioplasty. He most recently received special training for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill and assisted with the first Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in 2018. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a newer, minimally invasive approach for treating aortic valve disease. The TAVR procedure has expanded the possibilities for replacing the aortic valve without the risks of open-heart surgery.
