Prior to joining Cape Fear Cardiology Associates, Dr. Hodges served in the Army Medical Corps for 11 years, which included a tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, at a combat support hospital. He also served as Chief Medical Resident at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas, Chief of Cardiology at Womack Army Medical Center, and Medical Director at Hoke Hospital. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Cardiac Quality at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Dr. Hodges was instrumental in getting Cape Fear Cardiology’s Nuclear and Echocardiography Laboratories fully accredited. He and Dr. Munugoti introduced Fayetteville to CT coronary angiography and were the first Board Certified physicians for this new line of cardiac diagnostic testing within the city.
