Dr. Bacon was the first board-certified electrophysiologist in Fayetteville. He served as the White House physician and medical officer on the U.S.S. Iwo Jima and U.S.S. San Diego, while serving in the Navy. He was also the Head of Cardiovascular Division at the National Naval Center in Bethesda, MD, and has served as the Head of the Department of Cardiology at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
