style=\"color: #000080;\">What is PVD?<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Peripheral vascular disease (PVD)<\/span> is a broad term that refers to any condition that affects the <span style=\"color: #000080;\">blood vessels outside of the heart<\/span>, which includes arteries, veins, and lymphatic vessels. PVD reduces blood flow to the legs, feet, and arms.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Symptoms of PVD:<\/span><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Intermittent pain (claudication), which may feel like cramps (usually in the legs)<\/li>\n<li>Worsening pain during exercise (usually in the legs)<\/li>\n<li>Easing of pain during rest (usually in the legs)<\/li>\n<li>Coldness of the affected body part<\/li>\n<li>Numbness<\/li>\n<li>Pins and needles<\/li>\n<li>Muscular weakness<\/li>\n<li>Blue or purple tinge to the skin<\/li>\n<li>Wounds that won\u2019t heal\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Blackened areas of skin or skin loss (gangrene).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66118d4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"66118d4\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4248a09 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-invisible elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4248a09\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;fadeInLeft&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">What is PAD? <\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)<\/span> is a condition in which the <span style=\"color: #000080;\">arteries in the legs<\/span> are narrowed causing decreased blood flow. This condition is common and may cause the extremities of the body pain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Peripheral artery disease is often caused by a buildup of fatty deposits (plaques) on artery walls. This process is called atherosclerosis. This\u00a0affects arteries throughout the body. When it occurs in the arteries supplying blood to the limbs, it causes peripheral artery disease.<\/p>\n<p>While many people who have PAD have little to no symptoms.
